Chris Columbus on the awkward almost hug between R/Hr in Chamber of Secrets:

“It is foreshadowing, yeah. I just love the idea that the two of them…that there’s an impending crush […] You’ve been petrified, this is one of your best friends, if not your best friend, you have to hug him [Harry], but you won’t hug Ron, because that’s where the tension is.”

This is one of those random cross fandom parallels that’s only really relevant if you care about both fandoms involved, but anyways, I’ve always thought the awkward non hug moments between Sam & Freddie and Ron & Hermione were really cute and telling. Harry and Hermione could hug, because there was no romantic tension there…just like with Carly and Freddie (And Carly regularly, with the help of a laugh track, turning down Freddie’s romantic advances does not romantic tension make.) Ron & Hermione and Sam & Freddie? Now, that is a whole different story…

I JUST got all the messages from you guys!!! I really appreciate all the <3 and support, you guys are awesome!!!

no, i’m not dead.

…just recovering from surgery.

for those of you who don’t follow me on twitter…

after having suspicious-looking lumps/nodules in my throat and the back of my tongue for a few weeks, they suddenly doubled in size practically overnight, to the point I could not eat or swallow. I went to the doctor, and suspecting cancer, he immediately did a biopsy on my (which REALLY hurts, by the way)

So, long story short, I DON’T have cancer, but I do have pre-cancerous cells, and those bumps turned out to be polyps. Sometimes polyps can go away on their own, and sometimes they require surgery.

As luck would have it, of course I required surgery, which I had done yesterday.

I still can’t really talk, and I’m a little loopy from the pain meds, but other than that (and a fierce nicotine craving that’s threatening to tear apart my entire being) I’m okay.

I have removed my rants. I know you guys don’t read every single bit of information I put on the web. But here’s the situation:

I have had very large bumps on the back of my tongue for over 3 weeks. Over the last 2 days they have doubled in size. I cannot eat, can barely swallow, and I cannot TASTE anything. Today I went to the doctor, he looked at it, and was very alarmed. He did a biopsy immediately and that is a very bad sign.

Guys, I will try to update as soon as I can but there is a very real possibility that I have cancer, and if that happens, it’s gonna take everything I can just to get through the day to day. I have no insurance and I have to work to support myself, so if it turns out to be true, things are going to get real bad, real fast.
